MP3Tagger

Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2, 2025

1. Overview

MP3Tagger.com ("we", "our", or "us") is a free, browser-based MP3 tag editor. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.

2. No File Uploads

All MP3 file processing happens entirely in your browser using the Web File API. Your audio files are never transmitted to our servers. We have no access to the content of any file you open in MP3Tagger.

3. Information We Collect

We collect minimal anonymous data to improve the service:

  • Analytics: We collect anonymised page view statistics (page URL, country, device type, browser) to understand how the service is used. No personal identifiers are stored.
  • Server logs: Our hosting provider automatically records standard HTTP request logs (IP address, timestamp, URL) for security and performance purposes. Logs are retained for a short period and are not used for advertising.

4. Cookies

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Our analytics may set a minimal, privacy-preserving cookie. Please see our Cookie Policy for details.

5. Third-Party Services

We use third-party infrastructure providers for hosting and analytics. These providers process only anonymised request metadata (IP, URL, browser type) and do not receive your MP3 files or personal information.

6. Children's Privacy

MP3Tagger is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
