What this tool actually does

Drop any FLAC file and it reads the Vorbis Comment block straight from the binary — title, artist, album, date, track number, genre, composer, BPM, comment, lyrics, and embedded album art (METADATA_BLOCK_PICTURE). You edit any field you want, swap or remove the artwork, and download a rewritten FLAC file with the updated tags. The audio frames are copied byte-for-byte — no re-encoding, no quality loss, no metadata bloat. Everything runs locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to any server.

How to use it

01

Drop your FLAC file

Drag a .flac file onto the drop zone or click to browse. The parser reads the Vorbis Comment and picture blocks immediately — the file never leaves your device.

02

Edit the tags

Fill in or change any field: title, artist, album, year, track number, genre, composer, BPM, comment, or lyrics. Use the artwork panel to swap or remove the embedded cover image.

03

Save the file

Click Save to download a new .flac file with your updated tags. The audio data is untouched — only the metadata blocks are rewritten.

What it supports

Full Vorbis Comment support

Reads and writes all standard Vorbis Comment fields: TITLE, ARTIST, ALBUM, DATE, TRACKNUMBER, GENRE, COMPOSER, BPM, COMMENT, LYRICS, and any custom fields present.

Embedded album art

Reads METADATA_BLOCK_PICTURE from the FLAC stream. Swap the cover image or remove it entirely — supports JPEG, PNG, and WebP.

Non-destructive editing

Audio frames are never touched. The STREAMINFO, SEEKTABLE, and audio data pass through exactly as-is. Only the VORBIS_COMMENT and PICTURE blocks are rewritten.

No file size limit

The parser only reads the metadata header at the start of the file, so large FLAC albums open just as fast as small singles.

Works on any device

Phone, tablet, or desktop — same interface, same results. No app install, no browser extension.

Completely private

Your file never leaves your device. No account needed, nothing logged, nothing stored.

Common questions

Your FLAC files never leave your device. The editor runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded, stored, or logged.
