What this tool actually does

Drop a file and it reads the raw binary header — no upload, no server, nothing sent anywhere. It parses the container format directly (Matroska EBML, RIFF/AVI, MP4 atoms, MPEG-TS packets, FLV tags, ASF objects and more) and pulls out every track: codec ID, sample rate, channel count, bit depth, colour space, frame rate, scan type, HDR metadata, embedded ID3/Vorbis/APE tags, chapter markers, subtitle streams, the lot. Works on files up to 100 GB — only the first few megabytes of header data are ever read, so large files open just as fast as small ones. Results can be viewed as collapsible sections, a spreadsheet-style table, a tree, or a rendered HTML report. You can export as plain text, CSV, or HTML, or copy everything to the clipboard in one click.

How to use it

  1. 01

    Drop your file

Drag any audio or video file onto the drop zone, or click to browse. The parser starts immediately — your file never leaves your device.

  2. 02

    Read the results

Switch between Text, Sheet, Tree, and HTML views to see every track and field. General, Video, Audio, Text, Image, and Menu sections are each collapsible so you can focus on what matters.

  3. 03

    Export or copy

Hit Copy to grab everything as plain text, or export as a .txt, .csv, or self-contained .html file. The HTML view also shows the raw source code if you need it.

Common questions

Your files stay on your device the entire time. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is logged, no account is needed.
