What this tool actually does

Drop any audio or video file and it reads every metadata field embedded in the file — ID3 tags, iTunes atoms, Vorbis comments, APE tags, container-level tags, chapter markers, the lot. You pick exactly which fields to remove and which to keep, then download a clean copy. The original file is never touched. Everything runs locally in your browser — no upload, no server, nothing sent anywhere. Works on MP3, MP4, MKV, WAV, FLAC, OGG, M4A, and most other formats. There is no file size limit beyond your device memory.

How to use it

Drop your file

Drag any audio or video file onto the drop zone, or click to browse. The tool reads all embedded metadata immediately — nothing leaves your device.

Choose what to remove

Every metadata field found in the file is listed. Tick the ones you want stripped out, or use Select All to clear everything in one go. A live preview shows what the cleaned file will contain.

Download the clean file

Hit Clean & Download to get a new copy of your file with the selected fields removed. The audio and video content is untouched — only the metadata changes.

What it cleans

ID3 tags (MP3)

Title, artist, album, year, genre, comment, track number, composer, BPM, lyrics, album art, ISRC, and all other ID3v1/v2 frames.

iTunes/MP4 atoms

All standard and custom iTunes metadata atoms in M4A, M4V, MP4, and MOV files — including cover art and purchase account info.

Vorbis comments & APE tags

All key-value pairs from FLAC, OGG, and other files using Vorbis comment or APEv2 tag formats.

Container-level tags

Title, date, encoder, writing application, and other tags embedded at the container level in MKV, WebM, and similar formats.

Selective or full clean

Remove individual fields you choose, or wipe everything at once. A live preview shows the exact state of the file before you download.

Non-destructive output

Only metadata is touched. All audio, video, and subtitle streams pass through unchanged. No re-encoding, no quality loss.
